Angela Bassett

Angela Evelyn Bassett (née le 16 août 1958) est une actrice et militante américaine. Elle est surtout connue pour ses rôles de films biographiques, notamment sa performance en tant que Tina Turner dans le biopic What's Love Got to Do with It (1993), pour lequel elle a été nominée pour l'Oscar de la meilleure actrice et a remporté un Golden Globe Award correspondant. . Bassett a également interprété Betty Shabazz dans Malcolm X (1992) et Panther (1995), Katherine Jackson dans The Jacksons: An American Dream (1992), Rosa Parks dans The Rosa Parks Story (2002), Voletta Wallace dans Notorious (2009) et Coretta Scott King dans Betty & Coretta (2013). La performance de Bassett en tant que Parks a été honorée de sa première nomination aux Primetime Emmy Award.
