Lars Ulrich

Lars Ulrich, R (Ordre du Dannebrog) est un musicien, auteur-compositeur, producteur de disques et podcasteur danois. Il est surtout connu en tant que batteur et co-fondateur du groupe de heavy metal américain Metallica. Fils du joueur de tennis Torben Ulrich et petit-fils du joueur de tennis Einer Ulrich, il a également joué au tennis dans sa jeunesse et a déménagé à Los Angeles à 16 ans pour s'entraîner professionnellement. Cependant, plutôt que de jouer au tennis, Ulrich a commencé à jouer de la batterie. Après avoir publié une publicité dans The Recycler, Ulrich rencontre le chanteur/guitariste James Hetfield et forme Metallica. Avec Hetfield, Ulrich a des crédits d'écriture sur presque toutes les chansons du groupe. Il était le visage du groupe lors de la controverse Napster. Plus tard dans sa carrière, Ulrich a commencé à animer le podcast It's Electric, dans lequel il s'entretient avec d'autres musiciens de premier plan.
