Wesley Earl "Wes" Craven (2 août 1939 - 30 août 2015) était un réalisateur, écrivain, producteur et acteur occasionnel américain prolifique et influent connu pour son travail de pionnier dans le genre de l'horreur, et en particulier dans le sous-genre des slashers pour adolescents. . Parmi ses œuvres les plus connues figurent des films phares tels que "La dernière maison sur la gauche" (1972), "La colline a des yeux" (1977), "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984) et la série "Scream" ( 1996-2011).
